Nicely detailed, die stamped, hollow backed, tombac alloy construction award with a bronze finish features a vertically oval, oak-leaf wreath with a Whermacht style eagle with down-swept wings, clutching a canted swastika in its talons, superimpose to the top center, encompassing the forward, cut-out, profile of a panzer III. The badge retains about 80% of its original, bronze plating with small spots of wear to the coppery toned, base alloy. The reverse of the badge has scooped depressions to the tank barrel and body. The reverse has a crimped, soldered hinge, a thin, round, vertical pin and a soldered catch all intact. The badge is well marked with the manufacturer´s initial "RS", indicating manufacture by Rudolf Souval, Wien.
